About 6 months ago I made a thread talking about CEC selling off their part of Carrot Stix. Well I seen a Facebook post from a friend who has a new rod and was raving about it. I decided to check out there website. The website has changed, pics have been changed and products updated. Lifetime Warranty reduced to one year instead of lifetime. Prices on rods have increase and they seem to have a lot more rods to offer. They now have a Wild Wild Alpha, Will Wild Green Pro, Wild Wild Orange Lite (panfish), Wild Wild Orange Giant (8.5' to 13') as well as their known lineup Orange, Orange Pro, Black, Green, Gen X. I may give them a try once I see more reviews and see if the breaking is still there. My Facebook friend that has one told me that they are still light and are using different guides but you can opt in for the Microwave guides if you want to. Just some food for thought. I'd like to see this brand either get their act together or just ride off into the sunset. I am also partial to the orange rod as orange is my favorite color.

About 7 years ago I bought a 7' medium Carrot Stick Wild at Gander on a close out for $70 even though I had only heard bad things about their rods (but $70?) and it has been an incredible rod with no problems.  It is really, really light with the progressive smaller line guides to the tip.  Turned out to be $70 well spent.

I just can’t imagine anyone wanting to try to overcome such a bad reputation whether it’s deserved or not. I wish them luck, they’re going to need it.

I got one from Gander way back too on closeout. The 1st one I bought, the insert fell out of the butt cap, that sounds a bit awkward. I replaced it and then the second rod had the orange coating start splitting at the seams. I liked the rod, but the quality was lacking on the ones I bought unfortunately.

Is very weird that they kept the name, literally all I know about the brand is that they are orange and they broke a lot. 

I had one that I liked a lot, and then it exploded on the cast one day. After some searching, I found out it was a very common happening and I decided to just eat my loss and buy a different rod. So when I hear they're being reintroduced;

ybe the Rambler Gremlin will be next.

The rods were pretty nice, but they snapped like literal carrot sticks. If you were lucky enough to get one of the few that didn't break, they were light and sensitive. 

Wow? my Carrot Stick is 8 years old and I may have a museum piece.?

I had one of the good ones, loved it,  but lost it in a fire last March. There's too many other nice rods in the 100 dollar range (gee, maybe I should start a thread ?) to chance buying a brittle rod.
