What is everyone’s favorite chunk trailer these days? 

It really depends on the tine of year.  Winter and early spring when the water is cold you want a slow moving trailer and a slow falling bait.  In those cases I use a large chunk trailer, or small craw with large claws.  Summer time I still like the draw imitations, but line a twin tail grub because it has more action I think it entices reaction bites better.

My new favorite chunk lately is kind of a hybrid between a chunk and a creature bait, but it's the Zoom Z Hog (and Jr size). 

When I'm using a chunk for a trailer, it's because I want to avoid bulk.  I still believe that I want the bait to have some action.  The Paca chunk is what I use mostly, and most times it's on a finesse jig.  I know a lot of people who take the opposite approach and look for more subtle chunks with more bulk.  I don't fish when it gets super cold.

When you say "chunk", I'm thinking something without a lot of action. For me the Zoom Big Salty Chunk is my go to.

That's the first trailer I used for a jig, and I'd probably still use it if that red pork rind was $3 a jar.  You could catch a lot of fish on a single rind.

Another Paca fan here.  I like that it comes in different sizes.

As a beginner I picked up some Yum Christy Craws and I have found a lot of luck with them I have also had some good success with White or GP Zoom Super Chunks.

 

I have recently picked up a few different ones on clearance to try out Havok Pit Boss and Craw fatty, Berkley Pit Boss and Creature Hog and Netbait Paca Slim.

If I want a shorter trailer I just snip some off the tail end of a Rage Tail or Rage Bug.

I like the Netbait Paca chunk in the regular size and tiny, really good trailers. I also like the Yum chunk in the 2.75" size and the Zoom Super Chunk Jr. and I'm really starting to like the Berkley Powerbait Meaty Chunk in the 2.75 size.
