Lew's service

Featured Replies

I'm mainly a Daiwa / Shimano / Abu guy but i've been working on my buddies reels and this is what i call excellent service. He has a Lew's BB1 Pro series reel and it was grinding very badly....so I took it apart and found a tooth had broken on the pinion gear and it had also ruined the main gear. So i called Lew's and explained what parts i was needing (it was out of warranty)...the guy told me that this is a known problem and that he would send me a new set of gears free of charge.....how many companies fess up that there is a known issue and actually try to take care of their customers? I know that there are some but others just try to let it slide by due to the costs of correcting the problem....auto industry for example...lived it, seen it...etc... I know that making any product can have issues but it's nice to know that there are companies that try to make things right. ....i didn't know about this issue so they could have charged me for the parts and i would have just purchased them....Thanks to Lew's for the good service.

Lews has always had amazing service.  I’ve never been charged for any parts I needed.  Great company

I agree 100%. I called them some time ago I wanted to change the bushing in the handle grip to bearings and they sent me several sets free of charge. Not many companies do this now.

Good on them. I've never needed parts, and I hope I never do, but I really love hearing stories like this.

I have found them extremely helpful and courteous.

I was able to order spare spools for some of my reels. $5 a spool if they are available and they shipped fast.

Like everyone else, had great service with Lew's.

Lews really has top notch customer service. I once emailed about where I could purchase an extra spool. Had one sent to me free of charge as well.

I had a customer whose reel corroded from saltwater use. I asked Lews about warranted parts. I received a phone call they replaced the whole reel with a more expensive model appropriate for the application. I thought that was really cool.

Wow that's great. I'm glad I decided to make Lew's my brand.
