Flash Green Braid

Did you know Seaguar's Flash Green Braid was made for spinning outfits because super-thin braid can be hard to see.  Flash Green is excellent for seeing those subtle bites!

I'd be very interested to see how resistant it is to twist and wind knots. It might renew my faith in braid .... or it might not.         jj

Been using 20lb  for 2 years now on Stradics and it is great to fish with. Great feel and casting distance plus eliminates line twist

If I may inquire, which size Stradic?     jj

Stradic 2500fk and a Stradic 1000

I've been using 10# on one spinning rod and 15# on another spinning rod for the past two months and I'm very happy with how this line handles. This line is soft and limp and casts very well. The line twists (of course) but doesn't affect the performance of the line at all. And I haven't had any wind knots. The line I used before this was 15# Power Pro Super Slick and the wind knots drove me crazy!

Unfortunately the color fades as quickly as every other braid I've ever used but overall I'm happy with the Seaguar Smackdown and will buy again when I need new braid in a couplethree years.

I was thinking about using 20lb yellow braid on my drop shot setup? I currently use green but man it's hard to see.

Pretty sure I saw Cody Myers fishing it on his spinning reel on MLF today. Probably helping a lot seeing those sight fishing bites. Going to spool my 20lb up on my Ned rig rod now that I'm hoping we're past the icy mornings here.

For those that use straight braid and use Hi Viz braid, do you color the end of the line or just run Hi Viz all the way to your knot?  If you color it, how much do you color it?

I ran 20lb Power Pro yellow last year. Prior I was running 10lb yellow. What I experienced with the 10lb was that on windy days, I would often get wind knots. I wouldn't know it until I reeled in my line and heard a knot going through my guides before my leader knot. Happened lots of times and wasted lots of line. Last year I went to 20lb yellow and eliminated that problem. But what I realized with the 20lb yellow was that it didn't flow off the spool quite as smoothly as the 10lb. Longs casts, no problem. But when you're free spooling, the line is a bit slow. This could be due to the line itself as the Power Pro yellow isn't super smooth. This year, 2020, I have changed all except 1 spinning reel to 15lb Power Pro yellow. So far, it's a great middle ground. Haven't had any wind knots and the line flows with less effort. 1 spinning reel, I spooled up with the Power Pro Super8Slick in the Moonshine color (it's a fluorescent green color). Haven't used it yet, but the line feels really smooth. To answer your question, no, I would not recommend 20lb from my experience.

I just spooled 15# yellow braid with 10# FC leader

This is what I run. Mostly with 8lb around my area. But will step up to 10 or 12 if needed.
