Toledo Bend - Bayou La Nana 4/3/20

Featured Replies

On the water at 6:45 and off around 7:45.

Stained water and I have no idea what the temp was, Humminbird strikes again. Sunny day with a few clouds in the sky. Rained all the way from Shreveport but stopped raining once I made it to the launch. Sprinkled a few times while on the lake as a cloud blew bye but mostly sunny. Ambient temp from high 60s to low 80s.

Fished coves where all the fish were caught. Looked for underwater points, creek bed, ditches and humps near the coves but saw no fish. Also did some Auto Mapping for future reference. Threw soft plastic, crankbaits, jigs and carolina rigs. Fished banks with soft plastic and the deeper water with everything else.

Caught 7 bass, 1 catfish and 1 turtle. The bass and turtle on plastic in 3 - 5 fow and catfish on crankbait somewhere between 5 - 10 fow. Set new PB with a 6-4. Woo hoo! Finally caught a Toledo Bend pig. Still looking for that hog.
