I've seen posts where I believe peoe say you can get used or demo nrxs for in the 3-400 range. Is there any specifics to this? 

Various retailers sell Loomis rep samples. However with the current global situation affecting supply chains and manufacturing, I would imagine Loomis won't be supplying a great deal of demo rods in the near future.

 

You could also make friends with pro staffers or influencers who may have the hookup. In my experience, people with the hookup really like to talk about having the hookup, which they probably aren't supposed to do.

That price was also before the 10% price increase from G Loomis. Most are around 550-600 now retail. The used rods can be had for that price 

 

I'd say look for a used NRX or GLX but I'd suggest unfortunately just spending the money. I know it's not what you want to hear lol

Great deals on our Flea Market on occasion.

 

I picked up my NRX at the Indy Boat Sport and Travel Show for around $400.  There were a few booths that had them at that price.  I am going to hit them up next year.
