Since Aug 29th I finally got on the water to set hook on something!

 

After throwing a spinnerbait for 30-45 minutes I switched to a t-rig. Wanting to try out Sunline's Sniper & on the first cast a nice little chunk, but on the second cast a mighty fine professional overrun!

 

 

Congrats on getting out again! That right there is a pretty fantastic overrun as well. Looks like the kind where you just shove that one back in the rod box to deal with at a later date ?.

Glad you got out and picked one up, and if you're going to backlash you might as well go big!

Mighty fine fish Catt, that overrun looks mightily forgiving compared to some I might have seen...not on MY reels of course, but I heard about them...lol

How did you get hold of one of my reels?

I would have to score that professional over run a 7 plus two added bonus points for expensive line.  Good job.

Hooked a branch on my backcast / backswing and let her rip!

 

I didn't even try and get it out for two weeks. Scissors to the rescue. Yours may be just as bad   , I never even tried to stop it with my thumb. Didn't have a chance.

My son has caught several fish now in the middle of fixing his backlash.
