This one isn’t so weird as many people use it but for me it has to be bubblegum. When it comes to bright/flashy soft plastics I usually stuck with chartreuse or white. But I had some bubblegum TRDs al

Back in the 70s my father-in-law returned from Lake Guerrero, Mexico with several packs of plastic worms loaded with bright blue & red glitter in them.

Funniest thing I ever saw ?

Makes you wonder what a completely translucent clear worm would do!

Years ago I had some Culprits that were what they called "Salt & Pepper". They were a clear worm with black specks in them. I honestly don't remember doing very well with them.

Closest I’ve found to that is a Strike King color called “Glacier.” Kind of white but yet translucent. Been my #1 lure past 2-3 years!

I like the bubblegut Zman color. Have it in TRDs. Ive had ok luck with bubblegum Yum Breakin Shads.

I tend to use either dark (black and blue or junebug) or what I consider natural like Zman The Deal or SK Moon Juice.

My step dad uses all sorts of funky colors of Culprit worms and its hard keeping up with him using traditional colors. Speaking of a color that caught me by surprise, we were both fishing squarebills. I'm using sexy shad, I look at him and he is using baby bass. I never understood the effectiveness of baby bass.

Two words:

They're hungry. It looks like it might be food. If they are in a group, and they hesitate, they go hungry.

The dance that people do at weddings?

Bass are cannibals. Ive seen a buddy stick a 10" bass and get crushed by a 8-10lb bass on the way to the boat.

Culprit had a Motor Ohio Flake color that looked more like neon green with a dance mirror ball stuffed in it, and absolutely nothing like a regular motor oil worm. Crazy thing was, the bass just loved them. Now, they're impossible to find.

What baits do you throw in that color?   I have a bag of 6 inch ochos in glacier I need to try out.

5 inch Caffeine Shad on an Owner 4/0 3/32 oz Twistlock Light hook.

Since we're talking about translucent baits, Z-Man makes a clear color called "Opening Night". They don't carry it in all their baits, it seems to be branded towards the baits which apply both to saltwater and freshwater fishing. I've had some moderate success fishing the opening night Slim Swimz on a 1/16oz jig head in stained water but I think translucent baits would work well in ultra clear water. If you ever look at tiny baitfish, they almost seem transparent. A small swimbait or tiny finesse worm would be perfect translucent baits. I originally posted about the bubblegum, but this was another surprising bait too.

GYCB also has a clear color, with black flake. #187. I found it in the 5" original senko but i think it would be killer on a slim senko.

Oh this looks really interesting. My most productive stick bait last season was chartreuse with black flake. This isn’t far off

When my Mom brought out that little bottle with the glass dauber it was time to get out of Dodge!

I'd take it over iodine anytime.

I have tired Culprit Fire-n-Ice and have never had any luck with it.  Tomato or GP w/ Red Flake out fishes it in clear water and Blue/Black or any of the purples beats it in stained.   I want to love it but it's hard to restock when it's not getting bit.

Wow. Good to know when I catch super dinks but big bass are lurking!

Lime green worms, needed a few extra dollars on an order to get free shipping.

@Luke Barnes Yeah, I had a shot at it with the net but he didn't like the angle or timing and told me to wait. About 10 seconds later that 10" bass shot about 5' up in the air with his hook still in it. It was heartbreaking.

Wow if only it was on video!

Does Lemon Pepper do any good? (Chart and black flake). To me that looks like a color that nothing in the water looks like and to me I would think wouldn't do any good.

Bubblegum Fluke.  I bought a pack because my daughter was with me and thought they were pretty. They work really well in the spring when the water is murky.
