I have opportunity to get one spool from a friend he has 10/20/30/40lb test braid 3000 Yard, which one you recommending me to get for my bait casters?

40# would be my pick.

you don't want the 10-lb, and the 20-lb is marginal for baitcaster use, unless you can write-off backlashes from your skill level.  

 

The trade-off is the 30-lb will cast farther, and the 40-lb will give you less problems at the b/c spool.  

   "Test" doesn't mean much. It doesn't relate well between brands and advertising systems. My suggestion is to pay attention to diameter. It's not perfect, but it's more consistent than test rating. Personally, I would not use braid on a casting reel that was rated smaller diameter than .011" (eleven mil).                     jj

40 lb test would get the most work from me, so I'd go with 40.   I typically dont use less than 30 on casting gear anyway.  I'm slowly getting away from using all braid anyway.  Starting to incorporate more set ups with straight floro

I've never been all braid. 5 BC rigs for the canoe this year: 2 braid-to-leader, 2 FC, 1 YZH.

I actually like 30 lb a little better than 40 but you won't go wrong with either

My heavy rig - flip/pitch/frogs - 50# braid, 15# FC

Medium-heavy - jigs/moving baits in light-moderate cover - 40# braid, 15# FC

This was my thoughts exactly.

I would go 30lb. I use that on a few setups and it is very versatile for me. Braid lasts a long time (for me), 3000 yards would keep me good for over a decade! 

 

When using a leader on 30lb braid its 14-18lb fluorocarbon, or 12lb mono (topwater).

30# here.  Avoids the necessity of a leader more often IMO than 40#.  Also casts and handles fine on a baitcaster.  For super slop though I prefer heavier.

I prefer to buy bulk spools myself. 

Don't know enough about how or where you fish to really help.

I can tell you what I use but it may not apply to you.

I'd go with 30 lb.

I will also add that unless you have 'several' rigs,

never use backing and change the braid well in advance of it actually 'needing' to be replaced,

having 3000 yards of any quality braid might be a two life time supply

and qualify you as the regional distribution center.

Thank you A-Jay. I have 2 mono bulk and 2 braid bulk now, but I cant imagine have Fluorocarbon Bulk spool, It will be very expensive

I usually buy braid in spool charges, and don't skimp.  

The braid should be there awhile, and you will never suffer line memory problems from it.  

I normally buy fluoro in bulk, because it needs changing more often.  The exception is high-quality leader in 25- or 50-yd spools.  

 

Also made an effort here to answer in the terms of @ATA's choices to keep it simple.  There are many good points on the thread, but for the bird in hand, probably choose between the 30 and 40. 

 

What you gain with thicker braids is much easier filling the spool, the tendency for the line to dig deep in the spool lay goes away, and backlashes may be less frequent and severe.  

 

Pretty much the opposite is true on spinning reels, where line twist is the primary concern.

Thank you, I just had that opportunity and I grabbed it, As I mentioned Fluoro s very expensive, but I plan to get that in bulk as well, so I can use it for some of my combos and even for leader. I want to get Tatsu in bulk.
