I came across this video today, some Big smallmouth!!. A little upriver from @roadwarrior stomping grounds (yet ironically south ). It’s absolutely wild to me how big the river gets down there, even below a dam where it’s typically more narrow

My buddy’s dad lives on that lake and has a pontoon boat!! We’ve threatened to  Make a weekend of it down there for years 

I caught the fish in my profile pic from the bank of one of the feeder creeks off that lake. Be aware of the cormorants if you put in where they did.

Shoals is where my buddys dad lives 

I moved my boat to Sheffield. I will be fishing below Wilson

this winter and spring.
