Plastic storage boxes

Featured Replies

Getting tired of hooks bouncing to different spots in boxes with these removable partitions. Does anyone know of 3600 or 3700 size boxes with stationary compartments? Ty

Plano 3618 - 18 fixed compartments.

Any compartment in any Plano box can be made stationary with a hot glue gun and a few moments of time.  Prior to me realizing this, I had similar issues from time to time.  It seemed to me that the root of the problem was overloading the boxes.

I solved my issues by (a) gluing the dividers as necessary and (b)  using plenty of boxes, keeping the gear spread out and less likely to tangle & wander.  So, crank baits for instance  - I don't just have a square bill box.  I got a box for Lucky Craft square bills , a separate one for Bandit square bills, another for Strike King square bills, a fourth for Wiggle Warts and another couple of boxes for various brands - one ofs, not enough for a dedicated box.

Back in the day, Bass Pro marketed double sided crank bait boxes with v slots on both sides.   Best crank bait boxes I've ever found, with the exception that they didn't store really fat cranks well.

The Buzbe boxes work really well for keeping everything separate and very customizable, but pricey.

I have two 3600 sizes for my terminal stuff.

This is a nice, cheap option for terminal tackle as well as jigs.

There are lots of well laid out boxes marketed for crafts or hardware.  My problem has been that most are not made for the abuse that I provide.   I need to put my hands on them at Ace or Hobby Lobby or....before I buy anymore.

Cool idea.  But, man...they make Plano Edge Flex sound cheap

Plano Rustrictor Terminal has been pretty good.  Another good option I used for years was gluing a styrofoam packing sheet to the inside lid.

You just solved my issue with storing 1.5 square bills and 1/2 lipless baits from my thread.
thank you

I'm not sure that particular box will hold them (the dividers aren't removable). But you'll be able to find all kinds of different sizes in the craft section of Walmart and other craft stores.

Ok I will look

The Plano Thin series in the 3700 is what I use in my Lews tackle backpack. I don't have any issues with lure migration, despite them being stored on end in the backpack most of the time, and I am a notorious over-packer. Dividers are removable, but with the lid closed they seem to be fit really well.
