T rigged and usually weighted. Generally hop it off the bottom. Sometimes slow drag it, on occasion swim it. Every now and then go weightless and fish it kind of shallow but not on top. Once in a blue moon I’ll swim a 10” ribbon tail weightless on the surface. 

T-rigged on the bottom.  I'll retrieve it with hops, or just drag it along the bottom.

What are your chosen flavors of color with these baits? I picked up a few recently on my last trip to BPS like baby shad, black and red glitter and motor oil.

Yes I have used the black neon before and have had pretty good luck too.

I fish mine Texas rigged with either a 1/8 or 1/4 ounce sinker. Usually give it a slow drag most of the time.

I will normally hold off using ribbon tailed worms until after the spawn, mainly because I tend to work worms extremely slow prior to then.  The exception is when I C-Rig. Then it's a ribbon tail, or a lizard.

I keep it simple with colors. Dark colors in stained water (grape or black), lighter colors in clear water (pumpkin, watermelon, smoke).

For me a T-rig gets a bullet weight and a tempered glass bead with various worms that tend to float. If the worm doesn’t get bit on the fall I let it sit on the bottom a few seconds and then shake it so thecweight hits the bead. Let rest a few seconds then rod lift it let glide on semi controlled slack line and repeat shaking lift glide.

My two favourites have always been the Mr. Twister Phenom and the Culprit ribbontail. Sometimes the bigger Culprits work good weightless. These are both classic worms. You really can't go wrong with either one.

Great answers so far which has given me insight on how I can better catch fish on these baits. All I have ever really tried is a straight retrieve and it has produced in the past, but I slowly moved away from them once I discovered craws. Thanks guys!

Based on answers to questions about using a t rig, this type of rigging and retrieve hardly ever gets mentioned. 
 

Using a bead with a fall, shake, move...

The ‘ol brass n glass. I haven’t used it recently, but should get back into it! Tom, does the color of the bead make any difference? I would assume that it would be a debate similar to using red hooks.

 Depending on brand green pumpkin can range from green to brown. So my favorite worm colors are brown and purple.

I will 2nd @Mobasser...the phenom worms are fantastic...particularly in motor oil.
