Quantum Invade Bait caster combo or the black max bait caster combo. I like both out of sight but I’m mainly asking because of the gear ratios the Quantum is 6:1:1 and the black Max is 6:4:1 I want a rod that can throw mainly everything. Which works better as an all around rod. I’d also love responses from if any one has used the two.

If you’re asking what action is good all around I actually prefer medium-heavy.
 

If you’re asking which of those combos to get, I would do the black max.  I have one quantum reel and it just feels cheap to me. Does fine, but feels cheap. 

You're backwards. You're worrying about a negligible difference in gear ratio when you should be worrying about the rod. A medium powered rod won't do everything, not even close. A medium heavy powered rod is what you're looking for. Anything in the 6-7 gear ratio will do most things well for you.

If you end up becoming a life-long bass fisherman either one of those "combos" will end up in the back of a closet or corner of a garage as a long-forgotten relic that is worth nothing at a garage sale.  Spend just a few more dollars and something as inexpensive as a $55 Daiwa Aird X and a $99 Daiwa Fuego CT will be something you continue to use or have as a backup even if you work your way up to spending several hundreds on a single rod or reel.  The generally-accepted "do everything" set-up is a 7ft MH/F casting rod with a reel in a gear ratio of 6:1 to 7:1.  

you might also look at some of the Lew's combo's or a Daiwa Arid X rod and a Lew's LFS reel. the Daiwa Arid x rods are some great rods at their price.

Black maxx hands down.  I’ve never handled a sub $60 quantum bait caster that I liked.  I had a couple older ones that were given to me when I first wanted to try a bait caster.  They weren’t good and not newbie to baitcaster friendly .  Black maxx was my first BC combo. I still have it 4 years later 

I would go with the Shimano SLX combo.  You can get it at *** for $139.  You are going to get a far better reel.  I can't speak for the rod but I would guess the same would hold true. 

Put that Black Max on a 7’ Aird-X MH/F rod with 10 or 12 lb Berkley Big Game or YZH and go fishing. I have two Black Max’s on Aird-X’s. One is a M/F and the other a MH/F. They both work well and I’ve caught many bass on both. They might not last forever but so far I have no complaints. But start off with a MH/F as it’s more versatile. 

Of those two I would go with the Abu Black Max combo.

 

I do a lot with the few medium casting rods I own. Caught a 9 pound Channel Cat on one while Smallmouth Bass fishing.

OP, I have no idea what IPT (inch per turn) those reels have, but it is highly unlikely you could tell the difference.  I've never used either reel, but based on what I've read over the years I would opt for the Black Max.  It has a good reputation.
