Most sensitive rods

Featured Replies

What does everyone recommend for the most sensitive spinning rods?  Varying price points are appreciated...but budget likely in the 200-400 range

Kistler Helium 7 foot Medium action. These are extremely sensitive and I use them for light Texas rigs and zoom flukes. Kistler's prices have gone up considerably in the last year or so, but you can often catch a "sale" on their website. These rods are extremely light and balance well with most reels.

I'm very impressed with my Zodais 7ft ML spinning rod in regards to sensitivity, I picked up a $400 Abu Zenon spinning rod, I winded up selling it for a loss because the Zodias wiped the floor with it for half the price.

Really?!  Wow....had the zenon on my radar.  My old abu villains are sensitive...thought for sure the zenon would be great.

My 7' MF Expride is sensitive @ just under $300.

Cashion IMHO is very sensitive as well at $219. Very comparable to the Expride in my hands.

I am a neko rig fanatic, I picked up the 7ft M Zenon thinking it would be amazing, and it simply does not have the sensitivity that My Zodias does, I have a Daiwa Rebellion and a Phenix M1 which are superior to the Zenon in terms of sensitivity. Maybe the Zenon ML tells a different story, but at this point i'm done with Abu rods.   I'm definitely interested in trying out the Okuma Psycho Stick , I just need to find a retailer near me where I can hold one, or if tackle warehouse has a sale on them , I may bite the bullet and hope for the best.

Tatula elite ags, Expride, and at slightly over budget, but promo codes and simply asking local shop for discount should get you under… St Croix legend elite and Shimano/Jackal poison adrena. All great rods at various price points.

Zodias

Zodias FTW! Plus the red and black is dirty!!! Such a mean looking rod.

They are 15% off now with a code on their website, or get a free reel.

Did they go up a lot in price? I feel like I remember looking at them a year ago and they were a lot cheaper. I want a KLX but $300 seems like a lot.

Yup.  Prices went up.  Everywhere.  A fly rod I was looking at went from $325 to $425 MSRP.  :cry4:

high end of your budget - GLX, Destoyer can be had with a discount for around $400

medium - Shimano expride, Orochi XX

low - zodias, Daiwa tatula, St. Croix Victory

Poison Adrena without a doubt! You can get significant discounts if you look.
