How do old threads get dug up ?

Featured Replies

Is the main culprit the search engine ?

I've noticed an increase in decade old threads being resurfaced and start to replie then bail once I see the date. Lol

It does however create more discussion but most times the OP is long gone.......and I thought I was old. ?

Yep, there are a lot of times when you Google something some of the top answers are links to BR.

Second thing listed here.

That’s how I ended up joining BR. I was always searching stuff and BR was usually there to help

Although if it is on topic responding in an old thread can add to the discussion.

Yes, but if it’s regarding rods, reels, lures from a decade ago - the technology is obviously dated and the curse of the Bait Monkey requires you to buy something FAR better

There's a resurgence of old threads...People need to go out and fish.

No one responded!  How rude!  I would have, but I was 14 weeks old...

It has been a long, cold Winter in Northern states so people are bored and they are bringing up old threads.

I KNOW why I like old fishing threads.   There were a HECK of a lot more fish everywhere to catch & release ..............Everyday.

  Oh well.
