Music on your boat ?

I’m big bass hunting, I turn off all electronics, lift the trolling motor and pole in the area, …..ghost style.

Doggone, you're rolling in ninja style! I like it.

I don't know if it attracts bass or not, it would be an interesting study. In my mind if I can hear it, they can hear it.

The only music I want to hear on my boat is when I hear my fishing partner say "Holy Crap, that's a 12 pounder!"  ?

Love me some Van Halen in the mornings coming across the dam. Only sick-os and psychopaths bring bluetooth speakers to bank fish, so I have some cheap wireless earbuds for hockey games and such. I wear a bandanna that covers my ears up under my hat, so the risk of them coming out at a bad time is minimal.
I think if I had a bass boat I'd have some speakers that got loud enough for me to hear when running in boat lanes. But I think I would want it juuuuust loud enough for me to hear it at the trolling motor after getting off plane. I want to hear blowups, van halen, and my own thoughts. These wake boaters who roll up to the ramp blasting R. Kelly make me want to steal their drain plugs

Went to a Van Halen concert back when they released " Jump ", long time ago.

These days I'm more into Van Morrison ?

I think I'd rather invest in a pair of ear buds for her instead of putting a stereo in. Better music quality for her and you can still enjoy all the sounds of nature, plus no extra holes in your boat.

If we’re out downrigging for salmon and trout we’ll often have a Bluetooth speaker and some not too loud tunes on while trolling, and occasionally I’ll put some tunes on on my phone, just on my case on my belt, but usually when I’m casting for bass I enjoy the peace and quiet of nature as my music.

I must be getting old, I have a stereo in my boat, but I like to fish in the peace and quiet.  I only have it on if my girls are in the boat and we are just cruising and looking at houses, etc.   I have just always loved the sounds and smells of being outside.  Hunting, fishing, golfing, etc.

If I'm trying to figure them out, happier with no music. If I'm on a pattern, or fiddling trying to improve a pattern, earbuds in "transparent" mode.

I listen to audio books most of the time while I'm on the water. Either earbuds or bone conduction headphones depending on my mood and if I need/want to hear ambient sounds.

A good pair of earbuds with ambient mode could not only solve your problem, but be a nice gift for her (they aren't cheap). If she likes that idea you won't be subjected to any of that God-awful noise that passes for country music nowadays.

I'm a musician.  I love most kinds of music.  However, I can't stand music as background.  When I listen to music I listed to music.  When I'm doing something, like fishing I prefer silence.

IF I were going to listen to music while fishing it would be Robert Earl Keen's "Five pound bass".
