Googan Baits 3" Krackin' Craw

Featured Replies

Saw it on sale the other day. It seems to be a good substitute for Baby Rage Claw, with similar size, design, and action, but after trying it several times, I think the smallies can tell the difference.

I tried them when I couldn’t find baby rage craws in the color I wanted. They performed pretty much the same but I give the edge to the Rage Craw.

Might have something to do with the scent. The Rage Craw has the coffee scent while the Googan smell reminds me of anise.

Only thing I like from googan is the bandito bug

Exactly what I thought. I didn't know bass like Chinese food.

I don't hate to admit it. It's a good bait. So are the Trench Hog and the Krackin' Craw. Two of my brother's top 3 fish came on it rigged on an Eco Pro Tungsten Swing Swim Jig, and he 'aint embarrassed.

So do a bunch of baits from other manufactures. Anise in glycerin is old school. Been done forever.

I’ve used the 3” version of “natural” and “blue craw” on the river for smallies. They produced fish. The Bandito Bug is a good bait also.

I have no desire to get into it about Googan one way or the other. They seem to put out a quality product.

Most of these sents are there for the angler to cover up the smell of plastisol.  Its why they are detectable by the human nose breathing air.  Anything that is meant for fish is going to be water soluble and picked up by the fishes olfactory and likely not smell like anything to humans.  I wouldn't put any stock into your bag of worms smelling like anise, monster java or garlic personally.
