Just got a pack of some yum Christie craws and was wondering if anyone has had success with these thrown on a weightless Texas rigged? Looking to throw them weightless to really finesse these fish but wasn’t sure if it was meant to be weightless. Any info help thanks!

I don't think you will get the leg action out of the lure weightless. The legs have to have a little bit of a fast fall to dance around. The lightest weight I have used with that craw is a 3/16 oz. But who knows you can try it and see.

They are really good craws for the money, in my experience they provided so much action you could feel them vibrate when reeling in faster. Also they make them in PB&J so theres a plus.

Idk about weightless but maybe try a 1/16oz.

I'm sure if you cast and retrieve them, they'll work like a micro buzzbait/buzztoad. You'll need probably at least 1/8oz weight to make the legs do anything on the fall though. They're one of my favorite jig trailers. 

I've never tried waitlist but I fished them on a 1/8 oz T-Rig on a regular basis.  I would at least give weightless a try.

When I started fishing for bass, I tried them on a 1/8 shakey head and caught a bunch of fish. Probably not what they were designed for, but I figured it would work.

No, it wouldn’t be a good Ned rig bait IMO. It has kicker claws that require sufficient weight to make them do anything, which is much heavier than a Ned head.

I use to texas rig them on a 1/4 worm weight 10 years ago. The only thing about throwing them weightless I think would be how light they are. 

The Yum Christie Craw is a good football or swim jig trailer . Used by itself,  I would try it on a shaky head and work it off the bottom with short hops then drag slowly a few feet and repeat or stroke it off the bottom then reel to create a gentle gliding action back down  . While 1/8th oz. may work I would lean towards the 3/16th oz. weight to give those legs more action . *If you want to go weightless - there are better choices such as a Zoom Finesse Worm or Trick Worm .

I ned rig the Yum CrawBug.  I rig it so the weight head is under the tail so it sits on the bottom with the claws up.  It has worked well so far.

Zoom Lil Critter Craw, UV Speed Craw , Z Craw Jr., Tiny Brush Hog - any of those would make a good Ned 'craw' imitator...I use the Tiny Brush Hogs myself.
