I’ll be throwing 1/8 ounce bullet weight t rigs. Which one would be better on a medium heavy rod. Not looking for a “both” answer. Thanks In advance. 

I have both reels, they are both great reels but are very different. My Fuego is more of a flipping/frogging/punching/big spinnerbaits reel, it struggles on 1/4oz so i dont think getting good distance with an 1/8 is going be that great with it, atleast for my reel. It excels in heavier baits fished in rough conditions (tons of grass/lily pads).

The SLX i think would be a much better choice for lighter baits over the Fuego, but because of how limited it is in brake adjustment idk how it will be with an 1/8oz.

If you have both reels already the SLX may be better for that purpose, but if you dont have either yet think of this.

The Fuego is $120 and the SLX is $100, the SLX XT (which has external and internal brake adjustment) is only $130 ($10 more than the Fuego). The SLX XT would be my top choice for a reel in that price range.

100% agree the XT is the way to go for your intended purpose. It palms VERY comfortably as well.

The SLX 70 MGL can easily cast 1/8 + hook + soft plastic.

Not Familiar with SLX XT.

Can't speak on the Fuego but my SLXs handle light T rigs just fine.

I use the SLX for light T-rigs all the time. Works great for me.

Both are top tier affordable reels.  I prefer the Fuego personally but it's just how it feels in my hand.  I could happily fish either.

I throw a lot of 1/8oz bullet weight t rigs, it’s my preferred weight even in heavy cover, just drop it in holes. I can go from a beaver bait to a senko to a small swim bait and never have to retie, very versatile. 
I have the Fuego ct, Tatula ct, Tatula sv, Tatula 150, SLX mgl (3 of them). I also have a fleet of b series Curados(200s and 100s). I like all of these reels but I would pick the SLX mgl everytime. It’s capable from light to heavy and is the most comfortable reel I’ve ever used. The tatula 150 is a better palming reel to me than the ct frame, and really surprised me for light baits also. The tatula sv will cast light lures with ease also, great for skipping, but it isn’t “better” than the mgl. 
 

I had the standard SLX, nice reel at the price point but I would spend extra and get the mgl, it’s a smoother reel to me also.

This. Get the SLX MGL. 

Another vote for SLX MGL if the wallet allows. SLX XT can do an acceptable job for this as well if not 

SLX XT is a fantastic reel. If you can swing the MGL then even better, but my SLX XT held its ground with my Curados back when I still had it
