WAIT, WHAT, WHERE…. THEY HAVE A BASS FISHING HALL OF FAME?

Why have I never heard of this. Is it a bass pro store, or just a museum type thing or both? Do they have food, rides?

I think it’s the flagship location of the bass pros.

Great place!!!  If you're in the vicinity of Spingfield you must go.

I went there a few weeks ago. It’s absolutely amazing. The 21 pound bass though wasn’t in its tank

@Alex from GA sounds like I need a to take a road trip.
It’s about 16 hrs ……with no stops of course. Definitely going to plan my next trip through there.

Over the past four years, I drove by there around 30 times and never had a chance to stop in.

The Wonders of Wildlife museum is stunning. Overwhelming is the better term. It's so big that halfway through they have a restaurant, no kidding. I've been twice and loved it. They went all out on the ambiance too. When you walk into the Serengeti the room temp is elevated to simulate the weather there. The aquariums are awesome as well.

Well worth the time for a visit. Just make sure you've got the time because it demands time to soak it all in. And it never hurts that the largest BPS store in the world is next door. Also, the catalog returns store is there with discounts on good stuff that was sized wrong and returned.

What amazed me was the alligator snapping turtle they had! That thing must of been 150LBs? The closeout shop is where you need to go. There were so many deals there I would be broke if I lived closer.
