PS Nixon is a class act, not a turn coat. His peers are KVD and Roland Martin, there’s a legitimate argument for Nixon as the GOAT 

I tried searching about him winning a classic without an outboard but couldn't find anything. Could you relay the story? or do you know where I could find more of this feat?

      They don't boot anyone to make a spot for a legend exemption.  Its added on after all the other qualifications are done.  If you win a classic or AOY you get a legend point.  You can use that point to

    It was the final day when he won at Conroe, his motor wouldn’t start so he just dragged a jig around where he was and caught a monster bag to come from way behind and win
