Fish finder sales

Featured Replies

New to owning a boat so never really paid attention to when they went on sale. Reason I'm wondering is hummingbird is having a sale for 200 off but didn't know if they had better sales come spring time. Not wanting to spend more than 1300 on one.

You might see some decent sales on electronics in the spring.  Quite often the major brands will come out with new models and the ones that are "older" will go on clearance.

I just spent $1540 out the door and got a brand new garmin 93sv and pantoptix lvs32 kit from cabelas on Monday. I think the best deals come in the off season, not when demand is high.

I was looking for the last week or so. I wound up with a hook reveal 9 from academy for $499.

Honestly, if you find a good deal on the fish finder you want, go for it.  There are usually a few times a year when they have sales on this stuff, but there's not really a "best" time that can be predicted accurately, year after year, to buy this stuff.  It all depends on sales and supply.  If sales are slowing down and supply is building up, they'll go on sale.  If sales are solid and supply is low, they won't.  Christmas and Spring are usually good times to buy, as they know this is the two times of year where sales are typically strongest.  So they'll discount their products to compete with the others, hoping the volume will make up for the loss in margin.

But each year is different.  Each fiscal quarter is different.  There's no use predicting the future.

You can always try camel, camel, camel if the fish finder you want is for sale on Amazon. They will show you the lowest price it’s been and you can gauge and see if it’s a trend…

PS looks like a good choice👍

I figured Tom! No worries.

Went and picked it up last night. Bought online and did in store pickup. Guy brings it out, box looks kinda beat up, but no big deal. Get it out to the truck and realized they gave me the display. Everything was just kinda thrown in the box. Like screws and stuff loose. They had wired it up to use with whatever power source they were using and had clipped the lines awfully short. Just crap. Took it back to the other Academy in town and switched it out.  Ready to get it on my kayak and use it!
