Maybe not swim baits but for that last several years I've caught more bass on Japanese designed baits than any other....... mainly Jackall.

Big wakebaits/glide baits are on the menu for the spawn/post spawn cycle this year 100%

I did really well on them last year and I think they have a lot of potential at the places I fish when the truly giant females move up.

did you use glide on spawn? would you please tell us which glide and what was the result?

I usually only go with tube and sight fish it.

You can throw big glide baits around staging areas and catch big females looking to move up or who have recently spawned.  All the glide baits worked that I tried.

I like the shine glide by savage gear.

Good info.  I am glad he addressed bluegill spawning thoughts.  We don’t have a lot of Shad around my parts.  I am also planning on throwing bigger swimbaits this season.  I am a complete rookie at this and with our weedy lakes, I am not sure how it is going to work.  I know some hammers who do this around here and I am going to lean on them for some info.  I really like how Masayuki explained the seasonal movements.  Good stuff.
