Always love this day and the inevitable upset of a blue blood program or top seed by some little random school. I'll admit it, I've been taking this day off from school or work for nearly 30 years now and it almost always delivers. I don't have anything against Kentucky and them having the 2 highest NBA prospects in college, but it was so awesome seeing Oakland University beat them today after being led by a division two 4-year transfer student Jack Gohlke get the second most 3-pointers in the history of the tournament and 32 points.

I also enjoyed seeing Gonzaga smoke 30-4 McNeese State tonight after so many "experts" picked Gonzaga going out in the first round. I imagine @TnRiver46 and thousands of other Tennessee fans loved the way today played out. Can't wait for tmw...

Ha, I've been doing the same thing for the last 20 years, but I take off for the Friday of the first round. It never ceases to amaze me how the NCAA always has some amazing upsets. I can watch NCAA men's all day, but 5 mins of NBA and I'm flipping to another station.

You are correct although I had to work thru it. Cautiously optimistic as we TN fans have to keep our orange and white checkerboard athletic supporter at the ready. Been kicked in the groin enough to stay prepared 😂

I'm rooting for you. I remember the days of Allan Houston shooting the lights out and being so enjoyable to watch and Bruce Pearl going crazy shirtless in the student section. Be awesome seeing TN make a final 4 run and I don't see any reason they couldn't beat Purdue (or whoever beats Purdue before then). Going to be a fun ride these next couple weeks.

@NorcalBassin, the big orange appreciates your support! I was at some Alan Houston games a youngster (we were bad back then tickets were under $10 and they let you move down to the front row after halftime. I was a student  during the Pearl era, fun times although he is now the enemy. I was at the game when we beat auburn this yr, pretty good atmosphere . The place was packed up to the rafters

The reason we can’t beat Purdue is because they always beat us 😂, even at football

I lived in Kentucky for a while.   They think basketball is more important than football!  It was crazy. 😮

Wow, Tennessee did their best to give that one away until they stepped up at the end. Congrats on the sweet 16!

Oh I thought this was about the spawn.

Go Duke. 😎

Agree, watching Oakland beat Kentucky was a highlight. I also enjoyed watching this ncsu run, even though they ran through my blue devils in acc is refreshing to see some life in that program and history being made.

How 'bout them VOLS! Seems like UConn and Purdue are destined to play each other in the championship game, but it would be pretty awesome to see Tennessee against Alabama in the final.

I'm sort of sad that Duke and State are playing Sunday. I'm a Duke fan but growing up in the area it's hard to not be excited for State after all their fan base has been through the last 30 years.
