My fishing license expires tomorrow. I'm in Virginia.

Does that mean I cannot fish on that license tomorrow or do I have until midnight?

Thank you. I have a habit of running into the Warden. The question has never come up until now, but I want to go in the morning, and odds are he'll be there at some point.

 

It is good on the day it expires. Well, at least in WA state. Should be the same in the other states too. 

I'm in VA, your good until midnight then you'll get locked up, tarred and feathered.

If you plan on fishing after tomorrow why not just get one instead of rolling the dice?

Could be like MN - ours expire Feb 28 (29)...if you purchase a license on Feb 27, it expires the next day (or two days)...can't purchase the next season's license until March 1.

Just buy a new one.

It's 23 bucks.

Possibly true. Ours expires the same date as yours and I never fish before or closely after these dates. However, my drivers license expires this year, and I can surely renew it well before it expires. I would hope the fishing license is the same, but I guess I don’t know.

This, I think. I tried to purchase before it expired but the system kept trying to issue the old license.

If you happen to be a disabled vet, I believe it’s free in VA. In AL, it’s a lifetime all game (minus trout and duck) license.
