Nice looking reel for under 100.00.

How nice to have a sub 8oz option for a reasonable price!!  That's always been my beef with spinning reels, most of them are tanks!

Awesome! I can see a couple or three of those on my horizon.

It is very strong while being lite.

I could be wrong but I believe its a lighter material.

I'm not a phlueger fan, but that reel certainly has a lot of desirable features for a great price.  Forged handle, 10 bearings, and a magnesium frame, for $99.99.

Based on a couple of past experiences, Pfluegers are not my reels of choice.  But WOW :D:) , this one might change my mind.  It definately deserves a strong look.

I was too lazy to read the whole TT thing....I assume they are going to have different sizes?

i dont understand this move. why dont they make a decent reel with an aluminum frame first?  Also remember if you buy this new reel dont use it in salt water if there are any scratches in the finish, it will be ruined.

by the way, if you are a fly fisherman.... I checked out the new pflueger summit fly reel today... absolutely horrible drag system on it.

they do make a great aluminum reel called a medalist.have you ever used one?

I figured it out MK TROUT is the cover name for Joe Shimano :D HE just loves bashin Pflueger, like a bad itch Ignore it it will go away Dodge Guy ;D

I have no doubt that this reel will most likely be a good product. I used to be a strict shimano guy but a coupke years ago purchased a president spinning reel for a new fisherman which eventually never found its way out of my closet. After sitting unused for a while I decided to spool it up and use it. Was I ever suprised!! The reel was smooth and casted like a dream. For $60 i couldnt belive what Pflueger gave you in this reel. Anyone who bashes Pflueger obviously hasn't used one and is commenting with uneducated biast view.

everything made by man breaks.if it didn't we wouldn't need things called warranties.now maybe you could politely answer my question as to if you have ever used a medalist reel or not.

I have a Plfueger Ascender, which is pretty much the Medalist just 2 less ball bearings, and I love it.  It is very smooth and hasn't failed me once.  Pflueger makes some great quality stuff and I can't wait for the Supreme to hit the market.

Count me in as beeing a Pfluger spinning reel fan (don't have any baitcasters.......yet, I still use Daiwa's for that) I love my Presidants, I considerd buying a Medalist, but for the xx35 size that I like the Medalist was just too heavy for my taste's (over 1oz. heavier than a presidant) But I will seriously look at those new Supreme's, I think they will make a great combo with the BPS Extreme rods I like so much.

yea I've used a medalist plenty of times, which is why I said a GOOD reel with an aluminum frame.  I hate the way the bail closes, dont like the reel handle, and there are smoother reels in the same range.
