If I have to walk a bank, wade a creek, push pole a perouge, run a Jon boat back in a marsh, or a 20' BassCat on Toledo Bend.

 

If I have to drag a lure behind the boat, throw a Crappie jig at bass on a screen, stroke a Jig-n-Craw in 30', punch through matted vegetation.

 

I'm gonna catch bass by whatever means necessary.

I'm gonna catch a bass by whatever means I have at my disposal - hopefully one of those is necessary!  😂😂😂

 

But I feel ya - lately I been mostly watching my lures skip across a sheet of ice that's too thin to walk in and too thick to fish through and I gotta say I don't envy our Northern friends!

As long as it's legal I'm willing to try it.   There are some ways of fishing that are more fun than others but catching is always more fun than getting skunked.

 

When I was young , me and a friend would drag a 10 foot  jon boat over a levy into an oxbow lake. 

Catt, you've got some good points here. There's so many ways to catch a bass. 

@Catt: You write "by whatever means necessary," but are you willing to struggle down to the water when I'm wrapped around one of your ankles, begging, "Take me with you!!! Take me with you!!!"

I don't care if its a 10" from the bayou across the street or a 10# on Toledo Bend...that tug is my drug & as a good Basshead I will get my fix!

@Catt, yeah, I think you could catch bass anywhere. Bathtub? No problem. Swimming pool? You betcha! Cup of tea? Naturally.

Speaking of this I need to buy my license, charge my flasher and get my ice gear ready going to be sub zero windchill temps here Monday finally a real winter. 

Having worked as a facilities tech for two VERY large corporations over the span of 30 years, I have seen what systems lurk in some of the larger buildings. One of those systems are the chilled water systems. I have never told anyone this before, but I have had recurring dreams that I could catch bass in some of the 'reservoirs' of those chilled water systems that lurk in basements and interstitial spaces. Reservoirs that don't really exist anywhere but in my head. Some of the realist dreams I have ever had too.
