Everyone has been talking about all these other lines and I was thinking does anyone use the Big Game any more? And what do you use it on and what baits? I have the lines down to what I want to buy this year Surfix,Gamma,Yo-Zuri, and I was going to but the Big Game but I don't know if I should now? Any help would be great.

I use nothing but Big Game on my BC gear.  Currently i use 12lb and 15lb.  12lb for my M rod, which i basically just use for treble hook baits.  15lb for my MH rod, which i use for spinnerbaits, T-rigs, and lighter jigs.  When I get a H rod, Ill put some 20lb on it and ill use it for C-rigs, heavier jigs, frogs and light swimbaits.

Well it depends on how you plan on fishing then narrow it down to what line best suits your style of fishing. I use Gamma Copolymer myself. Others here like Yo Zuri. You might be better off and try a little of each one and then make your decision

I use Big Game (usually green) in 10 # test and up.  If they made it in lower pound tests, I'd use that as well.  Been using it for years and have not been sorry.  It can have some memory, to me especially in the colder temps and heavier tests.  It would take a lot to get me off BG.  Not knocking anyone else's favorite, I just like this one.

I use Big Game 12# and have been very pleased with it. It's the only brand I use. However, unlike Suffix (really great line too), it has more memory so you've got to wait a few casts until the line gets wet and "un-coiled" for it to work its best.

I use Berkely because my fishing situations cause me to change line as often as most people change socks (I nick the line a lot on rocks and shell) - so I need an inexpensive but very reliable line. However, for some of my apps - flats and freshwater apps - I think I'll move to Suffix this year, but I'll still always use the Berkely.

i've used big game 12# and 15# for the last year and really like it.  but i know guys thats used it for years and thats all they'll use.

I use it on my flipping stick quite often. Haven't had a problem with it. Several of the guys I fish with do too.

Berkley Big Game is the only Mono I use and the most popular I sale  

It is the only mono that I use it works just as well as any other that I have tried. Last year I found spools of it on sale at Wal-Mart for $2 each so I stocked up. Like someone else mentioned I wish they made it in 6 and 8lb clear though.

I think Big Game is probably the best "all around" line out there.

For specific applications you may find something better, like finesse fishing in gin clear water, but when in doubt get big game.  It  may not be the absolute perfect choice, but it will be good enough.

I have used Big Game in the past and it was awesome line. It is probably the best value out there. I have since switched to P-Line Floroclear, I just seem to catch more fish with it. But if I all else fails, Big Game will get the job done.

I swear by BG very reliable and consistant,I buy it wherever  i go always pick up a spool or 2  the 10 and 12 lb are what i use most i use 15 for heavy cover and 20 sometimes ,its getting hard to find solar collector in 10 pounds though if you buy it u will not be let down
