NPFL tourney

We boomer might have money but we are not a popular target for marketing.  Older folks have usually settled on the brands and products they like and it's expensive to convert them to a new products.  They are more likely to already have what they need.   Personally,  I probably spent less than $200 on tackle last year.   My biggest fishing expense in the last five years has been electronics because that's the only category where innovation demands that you regularly replace what you have.  A tournament trail where they use old school technology is not going to affect my spending much.

Personally I watch tournaments to see fishing not fishermen.  The number one thing that determines how much I watch a tournament is the lake that's being fished.  I don't care how old the angler's are.  I want to watch good fishing not old style fishing.

Fishing is one of the rare sports that truly brings everyone together—regardless of age, background, gender, race, ability, or economic status. It’s a universal pastime where the only thing that matters is the moment on the water.

That’s why it’s so surprising to see this conversation take such a strange turn toward dividing people by age groups. Honestly, the fish don’t care—and neither should we.

Let’s keep the focus on what unites us, not what separates us.

Sure there would be interest from Boomers but they’re not going to fund it and I’d be willing to bet they wouldn’t find enough sponsors to fund it either because there isn’t enough interest aside from a handful of boomers.

It could open up a whole new market of sponsorship opportunities. Geritol, Depends, Metamucil... 😂

Lithium battery companies could find a new niche in those motorized scooters for seniors.

If anything...scoping has decreased the gap between seniors and young anglers if the older, more experienced anglers, learned FFS.

It used to be the better anglers were the ones that could make twice as many casts and put their lure in more fishes faces. With FFS you only need to make targeted casts at fish/cover which is less physically demanding.
