Lake Fork

The Elites are fishing Lake Fork this week, so I thought I'd check the DeepDive app to see where they might be fishing.  With a click, it shows the best areas to fish according to current conditions:

Kinda cool.

I took a 1957 jon  boat with nothing but a trolling motor there in 2006. Caught a nice 6 lber that McKinney would have to cull 😂

It's gonna be a big bass battle for sure!

Milliken with a big chunker already!

Say whatever you will but Prezerkurat will surpass KVD by the time he's done. That young man can catch em!

How many century belts this week? I don’t think it’s gonna be like last year but I think there’s still gonna be some. I’m gonna go with…5

So this must be a catch weigh release tournament not live weigh in? I cant keep track of how bassmaster determines what the weigh in format is.

Because Fork has a slot limit

Not hardly.. no way he’s going to surpass KVD.

That doesn't make sense? I tournament fish rivers with a slot. We keep 2 overs 3 unders. Doesn't stop us from weighing 5.

Buddy Gross in 1st place, who had that on their bingo card....or better yet FF roster 😁

This thing is getting won by somebody scoping timber for post spawn giants imho.  All these guys up shallow jumping up the leader board are going to fizzle out.

If God designed a Bass fishing lake, it would look like Fork.   What an incredibly fishery.

ETA:  It's a catch/weigh/release format just like the BPT except 5 fish vs. every fish.

Then if the angler catches an over 24" he can bring it back to "weigh in" to show off to the crowd

The tournament format will differ from the standard Elite Series event, as anglers will catch, weigh and release their fish. Anglers catching fish surpassing 24 inches (referred to as “overs”) may bring one to the weigh-in scales. Any fish brought to the weigh-ins are promptly released.Apr 30, 20

Why can't they just do away with this stupid half time show.

The 100 best pros in the world are fishing arguably the best big fish lake in America and BASS thinks we want to hear Dave Mercer talk to some guy name Jesse.

Agree to disagree I guess. He's starting early enough I don't think it's gonna be an impossible feat. One thing's for sure he will be one to watch as he progresses through his career.

McKinney, man. Look out. Milliken will be up there too if he can find a pattern. He’s the only one inside the top 30 with only 3 fish

I wouldn’t count out Livesay.. he straight up knows Fork. I’d be throwing a 10XD myself down there or a DB structure jig with @Big-O Rage Craw. Those two together are awesome. Another good choice would be a 1 1/2 oz chrome spoon. I have a few that are two pieces, welded with glass rattles. They’re killer on stripers @Cumberland.

Tournament is fun watching because of Fork. 😁

It’s because people would rather see 30+ lb limits than 11-12 lb limits. The “under” is 16 and over is 24”, and you can only have a single over which most don’t catch

I honestly believe Trey is the #1 Bass angler on the planet.

Speaking of Milliken, he actually said he thinks Trey is the best Bass angler alive as well which was shocking to here because he said it before the season even started.

He's one of the few "kids" that I think would catch them regardless of tech, he just seems to find fish better than anybody else.

I agree with you and there’s some people that absolutely HATE him for it. Cracks me up

Respectfully - You can't compare him to Jacob Wheeler at this point. Jacob has dominated on multiple circuits for a decade now. Trey's resume just doesn't compare (yet).
