07 June 2025 ~ Sunny Post Spawn Bassing (video)

Lynn and I spent a gorgeous day on Lake Minichuck in the Old Town Canoe.
We experienced a post-spawn bite we haven't seen here in a few years.
The local bass population isn't exactly large, but there were plenty, and they had the right attitude.
We caught most of our fish with 4- and 5-inch Senkos and a 3/8 oz vibrating jig.
Lynn took Big Fish honors again today with a bass over 3 lbs.
Halfway through the day, we were treated to a low-level flyover by a pair of A-10 Warthogs.
Never leave your wingman.
Every single one of these trips is so special to us.

Catching a bunch of bass makes it even better.

That was great seeing your friendly banter with each other and her excitement with that big LM. Heck of a trip!

Great fish, and super cool fly by. Have you seen yourself on the facebook page?

Nice work!

I’d guess the A-10s were probably up at Camp Grayling. My co-worker is up there for two weeks doing their training. He sent a couple cool videos Friday of some short range missiles launching.

Awesome to see her out there with you again. Also beautiful lake to be fishing. Couldn't ask for a much better day in my opinion!

  • 3 weeks later...

Trips don’t get any better than that.
