The really skinny drop-shot weights ❓

I throw quite a bit of drop-shot in 1/8 tungsten.

Well I reordered some more without paying attention and man are these much thinner.

Any advantage or disadvantage PXL_20250615_124104520.jpg.b597294b1a776a7d36bb9d1bc7023400.jpg

Probably will not get hung up as much. But, some will say it really doesn't matter.

Less snags and better in grass.  Marginally...

You're fine

I snag em no matter what. I use lead from the bank and tungsten if I'm lucky enough to be on a friends boat where I can recover snags.

My experience is they come through weeds/grass better, but get hung up more in rip-rap.

I use probably the thinnest drop shot weight on the market. Specifically for coming through grass. It's a keeled design.

I can scarcely tell I'm pulling through grass when I use these.

Photo is a 1/8th lead compared to a 1/16th tungsten. It's thinner than the tiny tungsten.

That’s pretty neat. What brand is it?

I mainly use the skinny ones, and switch to the old lead cannonballs where it’s really rocky.

I’ve found the skinny ones to get through grass, brush, wood, and junk better.
