Holy cow! I was looking at the craws on TW. Are they seriously worth the $8.99 for a 6 pack?!?

lol! I mean I hit a couple packs of 10 inch ribbon tails on sale for $3 at fleet farm. I’ll fish those every day all day. Should have bought more. But man that’s expensive full price wow 

They are effective, but only you can determine value.

Well of course. Berkeley just isn’t a bait I really ever used so made some conversation. I got a couple packs of 10 inch ribbon tails today on sale at fleet farm for $3 a pack. I’d buy those all day every day. But idk about the price on the craws and creatures lol. Those are more than strike king.

Grab some when they are 25% off during the Christmas sales.  If you use chunk trailers, the msxscrnt chunks will give you an advantage imo.

Didn’t know they had that sale. Maybe I’ll do that. Oh really? I use chunks when the weather is colder for sure. 

Max Scent Flat Worm in  green pumpkin is my best producing drop shot bait.  Someone has them for $3.00 bucks right now. 

Its pretty hard to deny the effectiveness of MaxScent and even harder to deny Gulp.  Gulp is running $10 a pack at smaller shops on the coast, yet they can't keep certain colors of baits in stock. 

The maxscent generals on a wacky rig and the magnum hit worms are dynamite on a neko rig. Only you can determine what you're willing to pay for something... 

I was a pork chunk guy and kept it hush hush when they were hard to get (uncle josh started making them again, albeit in maybe less than ideal sizes/shapes/colors) for cold water (sub 60 degree wt) jigs.  

 

I almost exclusively use maxscent plastics as jig trailers now because they are that good.  The meaty chunk for a zoom super chunk style trailer, a power chunk for a zoom salty chunk or pork frog style trailer, lil trooper craw for finesse jigs, chigger craw in both sizes for jigs, especially football jigs, and creature hawgs for flipping jigs. 

 

A local tackle shop, the reel shot, is going out of business and is clearancing stuff out like crazy so I bought several years worth of chunks and creature hawgs at 50% off.  

If you are a scent believer then these baits are worth a look.  Most scents on baits are there to mask the scent of the plastisol so anglers will buy them.  It's why the scent disburses in the air and can be picked up by the human nose.  That scent is there for us. 

 

Any scent made for fish will dissolve in water and release over time from the bait.  You look at that maxscent baits and they are made from a spongey plastic that is saturated with a Gulp like liquid scent.  They really seem to be taking the scent thing seriously.  I don't use them often but I can acknowledge their effort.  I use non serious Monster Java scented SK plastics alot like the caffeine shad, whatever my JDM plastics smell like and whatever anise is supposed to be. 

I love using the Maxscent chiggar craw in 3”. I usually stock up whenever I find any on sale.
