Not even a question, BPS Platinum reel. I own several, no issues, very reliable, durable. Only reel I’ll ever buy from here on out.

Ergo: Daiwa Kage....the Platinum is just relabeled for sale by BPS

 

Me, given my budget - Shimano Miravel for spinning, Daiwa Tatula 100 for casting. They've been rock solid.

Good to know, thank you Ken. I knew the Platinum spinning reel is made by Diawa, didn’t know that about the baitcasters.

The baitcaster is a Doyo.
