I've not had the opportunity to pick up a Core reel yet, but I do have a Scorpion Metanium MG7 I picked up used.

I believe it is the JDM step-sister to the Core. I have it on a Dobyns Champion XP 734 throwing Buzzbaits and I REALLY like it too.

Too hard to narrow down to just one reel!!!

I have the Metanium MG7 Limited Edition and its ok but the Core to me was the better feeling reel between the two. It might be the gears in the MG7 that bug me. Still a great reel though.

Good. Everyone knows my love toward their gear sets. The second my 24 met dc or the 23 antares dc md goes buzzy mode, a storm will rise, and i don't think anybody is ready for it.

Hard for me to pick, but it's definitely an Ambassadeur.  2500C or 4500C.  I like the mix of simplicity and performance, plus they can be field serviced if need be.

Since I spin and fly fish, it needs to be two.

Vanford 500 and Orvis Battenkill.

My 20 Metanium XG for BC and a 2500 size Stradic ci4+ or Vanford for Spinning.

I understand why we all have more than one reel, but some of you guys can't count.

Absolutely in love with both of mine.  One of the best rods I have ever fished.

Sv103, I have spools and gear sets to cover everything.

Definitely sweet rods, that’s the 7 footer there. In the other picture (purple zil) that’s the 6’6” glass/T700-800 rod and it’s a sweet stick also. Haven’t used the 7’ 5” much but I’m thrilled with it nonetheless. One of these days we’re gonna have to start a thread on Brad Loomis and his Patriot rod co. (Talon)

I love my 9 speed Zillions.  The '16 Zillion is my favorite Daiwa to palm, but I haven't tried '24 Steez or Steez ct.

This bad boy with a 100 & BFS spool to go along with it.  An engineering masterpiece

Fun thread topic didn't see it originally so kind of glad it got reposted...I'm going to say my Shimano Ultegra 3000. I say this because it's not the most expensive reel I've got and yes it's a spinning reel...but I've got that paired to a medium heavy Sierra and that's the one combo I've got on the wall that I could probably throw just about any lure I use with (although some would probably be a bit of a pain).

Bass pro shops  carbonlite. Great price, very nice reel. Own many, zero complaints

I picked up a 2 reel package deal a few years ago for the gold colored ones.  They were 2 of the 3 reels I used when learning to cast #5 Shad Raps (3/16 oz.).  I like them.  The other reel I used was a tuned and upgraded TD-Z 105H.  Casting distance was the same as best I could tell.

EDIT:  I could add another 'favorite' (or two), but I don't want bulldog1935 to get on my case about my counting ability.  :toothy9:
