I woke up this morning thinking about Catt. And, it still saddens me that he's gone. He was always here, and making good helpful comments on my post. Of course I never met him, but I always felt like I knew him, through this site.                                                                           I can honestly say that I learned some things from him too. Time marches on, and we can never change what's happened. We lost one of the best guys when we lost him. I'm sure that many members feel the same way as I do. I'll always remember him in a good way, and think about him often.

Tommy’s passing has left a hole on this board that can never be filled.
He and I built as good a relationship as you can have with someone built through years of posts on here and personal conversations.
I will always consider him a friend even tho we never met, which I truly regret.

Rest easy you “Crazy Cajun”!

His thoughts and advice live on in the Toledo Bend thread.

It might be the current longest running thread on the forum.

There have been several times since his passing that I have read posts about monofilament and smiled, knowing what his response would be.

@Catt Absence is a reminder for me that it only takes

one accident, one diagnosis, one unexpected phone call,

or one sorrowful post here to turn life in a different direction.

Staying humble and not taking anything or anyone for granted.

Miss you, my friend.

Yes. I was tying on a rattletrap the other day and Catt hit my mind..

Talking to him somehow soothed my soul, he knew guys like Larry Nixon and Tommy Martin and those guys were a part of my life in some kind of way..rest easy Catt, no more pain, no more no more…

@Mobasser ironic you brought him up because I thought about him too.

@gim that thread is the most viewed and I don’t think it’s even close. There’s probably been a lot of Toledo Bend tournaments won because of his thread.

I’ll never flip a jig without hearing “rate of fall baby, rate of fall!”

I rarely check this section forum, so I hadn't seen this or any other news of his passing. I have really been thinking about him quite a bit recently and kinda knew that if he hadn't been on here since early July that he may have passed. I am grateful what he has known, he then transformed into the collective tribal knowledge of this site, and I would loved to have shared a boat with him fishing Toledo Bend at night.
