I use to be an avid reader but over the years, time has become a factor. I would read about a book a week and that started in my teen years. I later got into the printing business and did some editing and quality control.

My reading tastes are all over the place though. I might read a sci fi series one minute and then some type of historical fiction the next. I've read biographies about people I might not even like just so I can confirm or deny my own predispositions. I've also read some true crime, psychological journals, and court case documents.  I use to have a LexisNexis subscription. It is scarier than any Stephen King novel.

My favorite books.....

Dresden Files - Jim Butcher

Good Omens - Pratchett and Gaiman

The Shinning - Stephen King

A Walk In the Woods - Bill Bryson

The Name of the Rose - Umberto Eco

The Art of Racing in the Rain - Garth Stein

Stiff - Marry Roach

Fight Club - Chuck Palahniuk

Lamb and Fool - Christopher Moore

The Four Agreements - Don Miguel Ruiz

The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho

Pillars of the Earth - Ken Follett

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy ‐  Douglas Adams

Dune - Frank Herbert

American Gods - Neil Gaiman

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - CS Lewis

There are tons more but I have read each of these books multiple times. Some make me think, some make me laugh and some make me regret.

Fishing magazines,

USA railroad history,

Industrial Revolution history,

Older science fiction,

Lot of woodworking and mechanical stuff,

Automotive maintenance

I used to read novels on a regular basis. Anymore, I mostly just read my Bible and an occasional book on American history.

Just took out The Silmarillion by Tolkien from my local library. Been meaning to start it for a long time.

This by Col. Patterson is a great read. Wrote in 1907. Easily read in a day, day & a half. IMG_2816.jpeg

I've read this one also. Good book, and a true story.

Non-fiction historicals are my favorite books to read. Here’s a list of some fantastic books I’ve read.

Labyrinth of Ice by Buddy Levy

Confederates in the attic by Tony Horwitz

Blue Latitudes by Tony Horwitz

Killer angels by Michael Shasta

His time in hell by Warren Jackson

Ghost soldiers by Hampton Sides
