Nice rig, but here is something to think about. And this is not going to win me any friends, but it's the dirty thruth. The two biggest mistakes first-time buyers make with 18-foot aluminum Deep-Vs ar

@stk44 @ATA I still and will probably always believe in the "buy a boat now" mantra. However after rereading my initial response, I realized it might have come across a bit like 'tough love,' and I ce

If I were you I would watch a video on it. I have an ultrex ipilot link and I really don’t use the features often, so I don’t want to speak for what you may or may not want/need and I’m not familiar with the terrova.

I’m not sure if terrova still has a link model. Ultrex discontinued the ipilot link but they retained the same features in their new advanced GPS units. You might want to verify first that it does not have those “link” features.

@stk44 Surprisingly it is no video to clearly explain the difference between models, But as you can see in this pictures you can see the three botton with "link" logo and there is a cable to connect to my hummingbird 7 g4n.

I am waiting for my helix to be deliver today and see if this cables can connect them to each other, because as you said they might have different design and it has Link capabilities already.

So is this the GPS you talking about? so I already have the Link capability?

Sorry I am new and clueless.

That cable is for connecting the built in transducer on the TM to your compatible graph that you would mount up at the bow to use while fishing and operating the TM.

The model of Terraova you got has the new “advanced gps” system that replaced iPilot. So read up on those capabilities and how it can link up with the mapping and gps capabilities of your fishfinder, as well as the app you can install on your phone.

Found this google searching the model number off the label you posted the photo of 1358386.

I don’t use Minnkota and Humminbird so I can’t really give you any help beyond this: RTFM “read the #$&* manual”. These new systems are complex and you really have to spend time reading and watching videos if you want to be effective in using the technology.

That remote looks like the advanced gps remotes so it may havr the link features. There should be an Ethernet cable that goes from your trolling motor to your fish finder. If it has that, it will give you the link features.

The white puck is the directional sensor. It is not a GPS. The puck shows your helix where your bow is pointing. Your helix has built in GPS. Your trolling motor has GPS as well.

It’s a lot, but you will get it. I just found out this year that bass pro never wired in my puck, so that goes to show you how often I use some of these features lol.

Lots of good information here. I am normally the guy who does all the wiring and install myself. But for my boat, I opted to have the Lund dealer install all the goodies, network box, etc. I just wanted to pick up the boat and head to the lake.

I really like the iLink remote...use it all the time. And also use the wired foot pedal at the same time. In theory I can use my Helix G4N units to run my Ulterra...but sometimes it's a little glitchy and needs a re-boot.

Dealer shared this bit of information...not 100% sure it's true, but I do it every time. I power down the Helix units and the Ulterra before turning off master power, and unplugging the TM.

If you ever run in to issues, Humminbird / Minn Kota tech support is pretty good. I've talked to them a few times, and they have resolved my issues and answered questions.
