So my 8 Foot Steez rod came in today

This rod is just insanely light for it's size.  Here are a couple bad pics.  It's a two piece design, but honestly once I put it together I will more than likely never take it apart.  I'm tempted to glue it together to be honest.  Retail for this rod is $599.00  I'm more than likely going to put one of my Alphas Ito reels on it.

Robert, does your camera have a macro setting?  If so, there should be a little flower symbol somewhere.  Use that on close-ups and the photos will come out in focus.

8 ft seems the be the new 7'3. :)  I like the added length for casting.   I know I can get a rod that is almost as good for half the price guys, but that is not the point....I dig exotic tackle.

The key word is "almost" and for some people that is just not quite enough.

I hear you RW - jiust like a Stradic is almost as good as a Stella.  :)

Congrats on the new rod.  I bet you have been eyeing that for a while.

I am still getting questions from my friends about buying a G. Loomis IMX.  I think they are scared to use it because it might be that much better.  Then they might have to buy one.

Having to use super glue on a 2 piece $600.00 rod..

Beautiful rod.

Too bad you only have three pennies left though :)

Real fishermen use duct tape!

I think Redline may have at least a few nickels left in his bank account.

At least Russ hopes so   :)
