What do you want to try but haven't ???

Featured Replies

Is there a brand or a model within a brand that you want to try some day but haven't gotten around to yet?

Be careful when answering this thread as this might be the baitmonkey's alltime favorite thread! LOL

Mine would be:

Pflueger BC's Either Pres, Summit or Supreme

Diawa both an upper mid range spinning and a BC

Curado

Chronarch 50 mg

Loomis upper middle rod

Okuma spinnig just for the heck of it

Revo

Allstar mid level rod

maybe a Kistler the ones with the bad reel seats ( just kiddin couldn't resist)

Fenwick techna AV

Fenwick Aramid

A threesome with... Oh wait, wrong forum.

I want to try a GLX for more than just a few minutes. To see if it's as good as it's cracked up to be.

A Nitro Z-9 with a 250 Merc Pro XS in some rough water.

Good thinkin never though of that kind of stuff

add a fishfinder that has GPS to my list how could I miss that

add a Cardinal spinning reel too as I have a feeling they might be underated.

a boat with more than 15hp

Shimano Chronarch

Some Kislter rods

the new St. Croix Avids

BassTrix Paddletail Tubes (on backorder at this moment)

Loomis GLX

Shimano Stella 2500

Bullet with a 300 on it

Pulling said Bullet with a new truck

Money being the limiting factor. Oh well, one day!  8-)

Things I'd want to try that are reasonable for me to buy:

Zillion

Stradic

Dobybs champion spinning rods

Carrot stick, all powers

to name a few

Things I'd want to try that are out of my price range:

A real bass boat

Work up to "real tournements"

GLX

Core

Steez on Steez

the list goes on and on...

a Shimano Core!

I'm with ya there fishingdude! I'm going to have to wait until they come out with a lefty first :'(. I wouldn't mind trying a Steez (reel) either. Either way, I'm certain I'll be impressed :). I also wouldn't mind trying out (on the water) my new Chronarch 51 Mg or my new Zillion 100SHLA...........da*n ice ;D.

Loomis GLX to see what all the fuss is about.

Most likely to try/buy:

Steez 103 or 100

Loomis Crankbait rod

Pixy-red

Luckycraft Sammy

Like to try, with no chance of buying:

Calcutta TE DC or Calais DC

I have no desire at all to have electronics on a rod or reel, but it might be a cool toy to play with at a show or something.

The japanese stuff megabass, evergreen, alphas, pixys, gan craft etc oh and a glx.

I might have a long list.

1. Megabass Destroyer Rod

2. A Daiwa TD Ito 103HL

3. Daiwa Steeze Rod

4. Shimano Calais DC

5. Daiwa Pixy

6. 2008 Shimano Stella 2500 (for a whole day)  :)

7. St. Croix Legend Elite

I did get to try a reel today that would have made this list but a sales guy was nice enough to let me try a Revo Premier.  In one word> amazing.  Light weight and casts a country mile.  It was just a fun reel.  I wish I could have actually caught a fish with this reel to see what it was made of but on a just a few casts I could tell this was one serious fishing machine.

Fishing a nice isolated, bass infested lake without another person on it.

My main thing is a GLX, just like everyone else, to see what the fuss is about.

Basstrix

Wake Jr.

Armageddon

Revo

Stella

Calcutta

I would like to try the swim bait thing out.  That is one of the techniques I am going to concentrate on learning in 2008.

I would just want to try one out, probably wouldnt buy one though. It is just a boat I have not rode in yet. If I could have any rig it would be Redline's.
