Mine hasn't changed:

Baitcasting:  Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #12 (19.5 lb test)

Spinning:  Ultra Soft #6 (.010 diameter, 11.9 lb test)

Hi, my name is Dan and I'm a line-switch-aholic.

Right now my favorite for soft plastics is Trilene Flourocarbon. Very strong and the clear doesn't turn white after 2 outings like so many other "clear" lines do. Plus, it's fairly cheap for Flouro and you can pick it up at Wally World.

Mine hasn't changed:

mine either...   Trilene XT for 90+% of my fishing.  Been using it faithfully since the 1980's.  It's not for everyone, but it fits me well.

Since the mid 80 's my favorite line hasn 't changed, tried many just to return to the same: Trilene Big Game.

Raul & Keith:

Can either of you tell me the difference between XT and Big Game.

Some guys were discussing this last week at Guntersville and no one

seemed to know.

You are one of the few that have noticed some fluoro's turning white.  That is a pet peeve of mine.  Having a light refraction index close to water doesn't matter if the line is milky white!

I would go with 10 - 12 pound original Stren for more open water situations, and 30 pound power pro for heavier cover.

I live next to Bass Pro so I ended getting some 17lb BPS Fluoro.  I wanted something with minimal stretch and it tested out pretty well on TackleTour.  Plus, I don't want to lose a Mattlures baby bass when I throw it on this particular pole....17lb test just gives me a little more confidence.

Thanks

This goes for me as well....word for word.

This is my second year of Bass fishing seriously but I have tried all kinds of line.  My current favorite is 15 pound P-line CX premium.  Its pretty inexpensive, practically disappears in water and has a smaller diameter than most other lines (this is much more apparent in the lower pound tests though).  It also has good abrasion resistance.  Theres my two pennies.  I fish with a bunch of my buddies and I think we all have different lines that we choose to use.  I am still in the feeling out stages though and have spent a fortune on different lines already this year.

Berkley Big Game   :)

I've been using P-Line Evolution 10# on my plastic's rod.I like it, its much limper than CXX and still very strong.

My favorite for this type lure is the #12-#14 Cajun Red Cast. This line is strong, smooth, no memory, cast beautifully and high abrasion resistants. For the Lilly pads and casting Frogs or Poppers I like the #17 Cajun Red Cast. It's a little stiff for some people but it works great and it's tuff as nails! Mike

For flipping Jigs into cover: 50lb Power Pro

For casting Jigs and worms: 15lb P-line Fluorocarbon

Big Game in 12 or 15 lb 99% of my jig and t rig line and 8 lb maxx if im open water t rigging or jiggin

8# Sufix Elite for my spinning rig, 12# Sufix Elite for my soft plastics baitcasting setup, and 17# BPS XPS flourocarbon for my jig setup.

I picked up 8 spools of Sufix Elite @ $4 spool, so it looks like I'll be using it for a while whether I like it or not.  :)  No complaints so far.

This is a very good choice.  P-line CX Premium is a common choice here in Texas, and is limp and strong.  I prefer CXX, but I don't mind a little memory to gain a no-nonsense line that is almost indestructible.  Being fairly new, I just wanted to confirm your choice is very recognizable as a choice made frequently here in big bass country.
