Here are my 4 reels and rods. I like them clean and more "low key" than flashy reels. If i had to pick any reel it would be the shimano core. I like the charcoal and red combo. It looks awesome!!!

I'm just like you...nice and subtle, definitely not flashy. If I do go with a more colorful reel it would be a muted crimson/red with silver.

Gotta go with the pure, simple lines of the Shimano TE 200GT.

The Core + Cumara is a fine looking combo.

The Stradic + Cumara is pretty nice too. I have one of the older white versions on my Cumara and it just doesn't look as good as the new silver one.

Its actually a Sustain 2500 not a stradic

In that case, I'm sorry for not giving it the credit it deserves. I just couldn't see it very well or didn't look hard enough. Either way, I'm glad they changed the Stradic to look more like the Sustain. I think the white was ok but the silver is very nice.

This went from awe to naw reel quick.

I've been hooked on the smooth curves of Shimano reels since my balls dropped.  Or since I spotted the Citica in a BPS catalog almost 20 years ago.

I like the looks of the Penn offshore stuff. But, being a machinist, the machined aluminum is a work of art.

If I had the money, I'd buy one just to look at.
