The Fishing snake

Featured Replies

Hey ya'll well I've been reading the site for a little while now and decided to post as well..  I was cruising around on the net when I run into that Doug Hannon site for those Fishing snakes. anyways I was wondering if anyone has any Advice on whether I should try these out or not... Down here in Louisiana there are quite a few snakes in and around the waters that I fish. So any advice and stories/experiences with these baits would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Please do a search on the topic, it has been discussed here.  Thoroughly.

edit:  PS.  Just saw that was your numero uno post.  Welcome  ;)

I ordered some a few weeks ago just to try...In florida we have a lot of snakes so they should work.  I would think in LA they would work, particularly the black.

I hope you will post a DETAILED report after you fish them for awhile.

Me too, because despite all the negative feedback about them I've read on this site, I think their action looks awesome and they would catch fish. I'm thinking super shallow, or cast on shore and slowly slide into water. Let us know!!

is this tru that 2 of 07s biggest bass where caught on the snakes ???
