Favorite soft bait brand?

Featured Replies

wow a poll of the best soft plastics with out yamamoto

For me it's a toss up between Roboworm and Zoom, with GYCB third.

Hmm, I voted GYCB because I use a good amount of their baits, but Yum also makes some great baits I use so it was hard to choose between the two, the yamamoto Kut-tail takes the cake though. Berkley and Zoom both have some great baits I really like, but I use alot more GYCB/Yum.

There are many things to consider when determining the best soft-plastic manufacturer (cost service durability & so on).

Based strictly on the total number of products that I've used throughout the years, Zoom is the clear winner:

> Zoom Super Fluke (don't leave home without it)

> Zoom Trick Worm

> Zoom Horny Toad

> Zoom Fat Albert

> Zoom Critter Craw

> Zoom Brush Hog

> Zoom Finesse Worm

> Zoom Lizard

> Zoom Chunk

Producto and Lunker City are 2 of my favorites not listed.  I depend a whole lot on Berkley Original Powerworms also.

I voted for Zoom because like Rolo I use more kinds of them than anything. But as far as worms go I'd have voted for Culprit.

zoom. I can not stand the way anything berkely. they smell horrible. ;)

I like Yum best, followed closely by Zoom, and Berkley.

Why not just ask because you can't list them all; mine is Gene Larew which is not listed  ;)

The Rage Tails from SKL are gettin my vote today. Followed by Zoom, Yum, Reaction Innovations then POWA-WOIMS.

I'd have to say Yamamoto.  I've caught more fish on senkos, flappin hogs, and yamamoto kreatures than anything else.

Got a pic Ronnie, because I'm adding a Ribbontail asap.  size?  colors??

Here ya go Brent....... 7" and 10 " would be my size picks and best colors would be Black Shad, Black, Red and Motor Oil.

Nothing but hand pours for me. Either my own or from others in the biz, but that's like comparing apples to oranges IMO.

do you have a pic when the tail is flat?  i'm guessing it will doubleback like the link to my pic.

b

It's hard to lay mine down flat on the table because they are actually twisted/rippled? a little. Here's a 7.5" and a 10 " laying on the table and a 7.5" hanging in the air...

I voted for Zoom but GY's Senko is a close second.

I found some GY five (5) inch thin Senkos at Green Top today and bought a package of watermealon (no flake) to try.

Has anyone else seen these baits?

Are they new?
