I'm still trying to go, I just can't get out of the driveway!

Went this morning but the wind is bad didn't catch any. Last few days been slow but did catch a few at the mouth of six mile on Texas rig in 20 ft of water fishing the grass edge.

Should warm up this weekend, going on Sunday (wind 10-20 on Sat). I'll let you guys know what I do!

Heading to the Bend in the am. It should be blazing wind and freezing cold, mostly because I've got a free day to go. I keep blaming my partner for that, ever since we went one day last August and a high pressure cool front hit that same day. We should be post-front experts by now! Launching at FnF in a big gray Haynie. If you see us say hi.

Tough one yesterday. Flipped grass edges and the grass itself from 10-18'. Covered miles of grassline, but Nada. Picked up a trap around 11:00am just try something completely different. Right at that time the wind went from blowing to howling, but we snagged 6 in 8 casts in 11'. One keeper, 4 dinks, and one still had an umbilical chord I think. That was all of the action for the day. Fished Housen and the Mounds from dawn til dusk. Tried t-rig, a-rig, swim jigs, and crankbaits also.

Sounds tough! Fishing should just keep getting better though.

Heard some reports out of Lowe's Creek

I left Saturday at noon when the wind pick up. Did catch some fish early that morn ing in six mile 20fow on texas rig worm watermelon seed. I was there a week that's only place I caught fish did try around white oak area one afternoon.

I have read every page going back to 2008 when this started. Its amazing at the wealth of knowledge and experience speaking on this forum. I have tried alot of what you guys have suggested on T Bend but have lacked quality fish. Grass...theres just so much of it and its really confusing at times. What do you guys look for this time of year? Shallow grass, deep grass, grass near creek channels edges, grass on points? I try to pick an area and learn it but I must be over doing it. Suggestions?

During winter timing is very important, as in timing of cold fronts. From about 3 days prior to the front passing is good fishing days.

Problem with winter is you will deal with cold, sunny, cloudy, rainy, windy, or all of the above.

Hello new to forum here just wanted to say this is a great thread with good infor. I like fishing the bend. What I like is you don't always have to do the same thing there so much different structure in lake that you can change up.

On any giving day one can catch with just about any technique!

I didn't make it to the bend due to getting fogged in offshore. Headed up Monday night off a few days. I guess I'll have to bundle up and fish slow. Any recommendations?

The fish are still in more of a fall pattern than winter. I would look in the back of creeks and work my way out.

Ronnie, I caught 20 or so this weekend on drops from 10 to 20 feet on texas rig and drop shot finesse worms. Junebug. No big ones just fun!! Most fish we in the 10 to 12 feet range close to deep water.

Thanks Josh & Brian. I guess the wind will dictate where I fish. I keep saying I will trailer down south, but if conditions are tough I will spend a lot of time second guessing my decision.

If anyone is up there mid week keep an eye out for me.
