I thought it would be appropriate to bump this thread after hearing the bad news of @Catt's passing.  I don't fish Toledo Bend but this is a very interesting read for anyone.  I know Tommy took a lot

Well this Coonass staying home ;)

Wow! I have been reading you guys post for sometime now and since I live in Northwest Arkansas basically live off your reports wishing that I lived on lake! I have fished the lake a couple of times over the past three or four years and have truly enjoyed each time with considerable success.

So now, I need some advice from the people the know the lake the best.

I have a vacation trip planned with a few family members for March 21st-24th to TB. Do you guys have an opinion on whether the lake will be fishable by then based on what's currently happening with the flooding? I figured your crystal ball would provide better odds than mine.

Any advice would be appreciated!

youll be good by then.......but it may not clear up as quick with the lack of grass

Well, I have to go this weekend. My son has baseball the next 3 weekends. According to the forecast (wind), I should be able to fish the main lake.

If !!! The weather settles down ;)

That waterflow is off the charts.  I'm going up to check on things and maybe get some odds and ends done.

taken today...unbelievable12803242_1694752300800994_83139344572187

It's insane!  Good idea, Dog. I think I'll do the same if I can get there. As of now, I heard some roads are closed from the dam up to 6 mile.

Was gonna go up this weekend to prefish for Texas Oil man's next week but I don't know now. Probably just show up and fish next week if they don't reschedule it. Probably still go to camp this weekend check on everything and clean up yard.

May have to go from Leesville to Burkeville to catch 87.

Hmmmm.........Just checked, some of that is closed too.  May have to go through Many and come back down.  that looks clear.

JC I would think the Burkville bridge may be closed in the near future if the water keeps on rising. Be careful if you plan on going that way.

I'll wait until Saturday morning but I'll probably have to take the long way around. Ya'll be safe.

Full pool s 172' above sea level

On Monday the level was 171.5

On Thursday the level was 174.36-174.5 or an increase of 2.85-3'

With 9 flood gates open @ 22' they are releasing 1.5 million gallons per second which dropped the level 0.42' over 24 hrs.

So the docks we flipped 5 days ago are under water.  The haygrass that had gators laying in it is under water.  The cypress that had 2' of water in them have 5' today.  Everything is now muddied up good and there is a pretty good current in the lake and I'm fishing the next two days.  Anybody have any thoughts about catching some?
