For Us KC Area Guys - Fishing Reports

Featured Replies

Probably everyone with a boat that likes to fish and has weekends off I'd guess  :dazed-7:  Makes me glad I have my weekend during the middle of the week  :respect-059:

Well my man I wish not having to work was the only factor that determined if i could get out on the lake during the weekends.

Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day.

Fished LaCygne Sunday- I started up lake and noticed quite a few boats in the river section. I pitched flooded brush and water willows for a while ending up with one fish about 2lbs.

Yeah, getting on the lake will get a lot more difficult for me in the very near future also. Just depends how long my wife decides to wait to have our baby.

don't rub it in

I'd trade my good fishing days for having weedends and holidays off with my family. This year is the first time in 7 years (since I became an LEO) that I'll get to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas (most of it anyways) with my family.

touche. I think something we can all agree on is all of our employers need to give us one day off, every week, to go fishing. Might get more productivity out of us that way haha.

Had them both off last year and it was the first time I'd had either of them off in 6 years, and get both of them off again this year  :respect-059:

I would rather fish Guntersville and stay at my brothers house for free :)

15-25 mph winds with 35 mph gusts and tstorms in the forecast for saturday. I'm really hoping that changes or I might not be getting out this weekend.

Me and Peter are going back in the morning.

Whats the chances we can get 4 ppl for the Roadtrip?

Carpool, split gas, blah blah blah.

I think the chances are better of me road tripping down to lake fork by myself...

That's what I was thinking the only thing is we could only tow one boat. It'd be nice to have 2 with four people.

But we could have the KC cabin!

If we took my truck and pulled a boat it'd probably get 10 mpg (if I'm lucky) and probably use $400 in gas round trip.

What do the cabins cost?

4ppl around $48 a night/person

5 nights = $240 per person.

So atleast, $500 in travel / lodging per person. Baised on 2 ppl per truck and 4 in the cabin

Yea and 500 should get your license also.

I'm pretty much good to go if we can round up 3 others

If anyone's thinking about going to lacygne this weekend I'll be praying for you.

I snagged a 8" shad today and that was the only bite I had!!!
