If anyone is looking to road trip, avoid Table Rock for a few weeks. Fishing so very tough right now.

Is it also very tough at stockton or pomme?  High school tourneys there this weekend.  Gonna prefish Stockton friday.

Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day.

Fished LaCygne Sunday- I started up lake and noticed quite a few boats in the river section. I pitched flooded brush and water willows for a while ending up with one fish about 2lbs.

I've seen some varied reports from Stockton. The most common theme seems to keep a moving bait in your hand and cover water to try and put your bait in front of as many fish as possible.

Alright, I’ll keep that in mind!  Thanks!

Hey Haydon, I'm curious how you did on Pomme? I fished it this last weekend and struggled bad for largemouth. Couldn't keep the whites off my moving lures. I finally caught a few dragging football jigs, but nothing special.

We didn’t do too hot, caught our keeper in the last 15 minutes, but we figured something out right then.  We dragged a C and C custom baits wobblehead, with a green pumpkin creature bait with chartreuse dyed claws.  Got more bites doing this than the entire day.

Anyone know of someone or some company around the KC area that will do rod repair? One of my old Lew’s rods is missing a middle guide and I got a replacement guide, but I have zero clue how to attach it. Would rather have a pro take care of it. Thx!

There's a guy in La Cygne that does them for $10 a guide and does excellent work but I can't think of his name ?‍♂️

Dale Sylva GMO Customs Rods. I smashed the butt section of my bladed jig rod in my truck door this spring and he fixed it to where I can't tell anything was ever wrong with it. He redid one of the guides that had been damaged at one point and it looked great also.

Does he do middle guides as well, other than tip tops?

I bought a Kistler magnesium for $80 that has a missing tip top.  There is another one that is missing the tip top and a middle guide, for $60.

Yes he can fix any of them.

Maybe? I'm not sure wherr they do that at. I was below the dam.

They are above the dam. Cool! Didn't know that fishing the kaw was worth the effort.

Those wipers, walleye, crappie, everything are all over in the river after they wash in from the reservoirs upstream.

Thanks Senile, these fish were definetely spawned out in the post spawn stage, these fish took a beating this weekend, during both of my tourneys there was a boat on every main lake point, thats why we went into rock creek to catch our fish sunday, much less pressure, the bigger fish i have been catching are coming on the secondary points and the smaller ones on the main lake points

Can someone help me with where Rock Creek is on Smithville Lake?  Much appreciated

Go north through W bridge. It is the first big creek to the west…atleast that’s what people called it when I used to fish up there.

Grand will do that sometimes. It's a lot of fun when it's good though.

Headed to wyco tomorrow, should be fun.
