Mork and Mindy.  The funniest I've ever seen.  Much funnier than the SNL shows of that genre, and they were a riot.

Without a doubt, I Love Lucy.

It looks dated these days, but it was groundbreaking in its day.  My all time favorite, though, was the Beverly Hillbillies.  I was born so far back in the woods in Kentucky that you had to go towards town to hunt and all of that humor hit pretty close to home.

SEINFELD

Great sitcoms have always lost their luster with age. Two of my favorites in the 70s, MASH and All In the Family, became preachy dramas by the end of their reign.

Seinfeld never did this. It broke new ground and was pure comedy genius until the end. If you're trying to make people laugh, why push a moral agenda? Once in awhile this is OK, but when it happens on every show, it becomes much less funny. To me, no other sitcom touches it.

BTW, see the line under my avatar.  Remember the Serenity Now! episode.

In no particular order:

Seinfeld, I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, The Beverly Hillbillies, All in the Family

I do have to agree.  With the exception of Seinfeld, just about anything that came out after 1990 just doesn't match up with the older ones.

Classic TV rocks!!

I liked Coach, Home Improvement and Major Dad.

While it was short lived I thought Rodney with Rodney Carrington was gonna be good.

Mash, Night Court, Married with Children, WkRP, Three's Company, Cheers

What about Airwolf? Loved that show as a kid.  Knight rider and my Favorite The A-Team.

Benny Hill late night

Not really a lot great on now a days? Seinfield, Simpsons

All in the family!! Carroll OConnor was a genius!! Jean Stapleton too.

Cosby Show...Bill Cosby is one of the best comics ever!!

Honeymooners...Classic!!

Married with children...Al Bundy was the funniest loser, LOL

Taxi...the entire cast was hilarious!!

WKRP

Newhart (I'm Larry and this is my brother Daryl and this is my other brother Daryl.  Best final episode ever)

Seinfeld

Green Acres

There too many to pick just one.

Years ago: Andy Griffith, Leave It To Beaver, F-Troop

Not to long ago: Taxi, MASH, Cheers

Recent: Seinfeld, Married With Children, Fraiser

Today: 30 Rock (It's the only one I have time to watch, episodes are online anytime you want to watch)

Mash, Night Court, Married with Children, WkRP, Three's Company, Cheers

What about Airwolf? Loved that show as a kid. Knight rider and my Favorite The A-Team.

Benny Hill late night

Not really a lot great on now a days? Seinfield, Simpsons

Night Court was great (loved Dan Fielding character), and Markie Post...WOW

But my all time fav would have to be Married With Children.

boy am i dissapointed in you people.  i thought all fishermen agreed Get Smart was and still is the all time classic.   you should be ashamed of yourselves ; :)

Barney Miller

For a while Boston Legal ( Denny Crane "name's on the door) was just hilarious but starting to run its course and get stupid.
