To add to the blade configuration.  I fish willow leaf blades 95% of the time, I just change blade color according to water clarity.  Clear water=silver blades, Stained water=combo, Muddy water=gold blades.  Now if the water is extremely muddy ill fish a colorado blade but i rarely run into that.

no.double willows are a must also.i would say you don't need a colorado willow combo like a lot of spinnerbaits have.

Its a good thing they think you only need 3 colors becasut thats all you can buy at retail stores  At heavycover there are somthing like 317,000 possible combinations of blades and colors!  Willows are a must here and neutral colors like greens and pumpkins, cant buy them in the stores thought.

First of all, don't let anyone "pigeonhole" you you into thinking that you only need this color or that blade.  The very nature of the spinnerbait is versatility and variety.  My best spinnerbaits in my collection are homemades that I was told would not catch anything on a number of occasions.  One of them caught me a 5-fish limit last year that was just shy of 27 lbs!  Another example being a lake near me that is notorious for kicking out huge bass in late winter/early spring on the gaudiest, wierdest color HUGE spinnerbaits you can find.  My suggestion would be to get any of the ones already mentioned and tinker with them a bit.  You may find that making your own spinnerbaits will be the answer.  I haven't bought a manufactured spinnerbait in ten years.

I use terminator , booyah. Booyah has some good buzzbaits as well.

The most popular spinnerbait sold is a 1/2oz, white/chartruese skirt, front #3 silver colorado, #4.5 gold willow. I make my own and have about 30 different colors right now. If you guys want to make your own on Booyah heads there is a guy that sells them on ebay Tony (Cullins hogs is his store).

I will also recommend the Falcon Spinnerbait wallets for storing your spinnerbaits.  They are very small, and don't take up much space.  They have 18 slots that will hold 2 spinnerbaits in each slot for a total of 36 baits per wallet.  I have one for clear water, one for stained, and one for dirty water.

I've caught a ton of bass on Strike King spinnerbaits.I also like Booyah and Terminator spinnerbaits.When bassin' gets tough,I'll downsize to an H&H spinnerbait.It has saved many a bad day.

Try Strike Kings pro series. I caught my first bass on that thing and have been catching many since. Use some kind of trailer for extra appeal.

I had no problems using the coupon but did rack my brain trying to come up with $25 exactly on each purchase.  Also, I think Dick's employees think I am addicted because I have been going down there almost daily to feed the bait monkey.

Also, any good suggestions on trailers?  I bought a pack of trailer hooks for when the bass are short striking.  I was wondering if any generic grub would work.

Usually I use grubs with double curly tails and chartruse in color. A company called renegade makes good and not too expensiver grubs made specifically made for spinner-baits. They are really soft and boyant which provides great action.
